Fees Assessment ScheduleShades Valley band students will pay the following assessments during the 2011-2012 calendar year. We have made every effort to keep individual student costs at a minimum and still provide rewarding educational and social opportunities for our band. · Summer Band Assessment ($150)This covers the cost of band camp materials and additional personnel as well as certain start-up costs for marching season. Students must pay this in order to attend band camp. This assessment is due the first day of band camp. Any student who has not paid the initial installment ($150) by August 3rd will not be allowed to continue in marching activities. · Transportation Assessment ($150)All students pay this assessment, which allows us to rent buses to transport the band. The Jefferson County Board of Education charges a per-mile fee. We have been able to help with costs of these trips in the past with county-allotted field-trip money. This year, those monies are NOT available to the schools so it is imperative each student pays this portion of the assessment before our first away trip. This assessment is due before the first away trip. · November Band Trip ($150 est.) This Fall, we will do a competition in Florida the first weekend in November. This will be our trip for the upcoming year and EVERY student in the field show will need to plan to travel with us. This will replace the Atlanta trip we have made the past three seasons. Costs per student for this trip will not exceed $150 but each student MUST sign a contract to participate in this event. · Concert Band Assessment ($50) All students participating in concert band will pay this during the spring. This is NOT taken in the fall to avoid any confusion.
KEEP MEDICAL FORMS CURRENT Mr. Allinder needs parents to update the medical form you fill out at the beginning of each school year IF any personal information has changed (IE: address, home, work or cell phone numbers, parents name, etc). You can click here for a printable copy of the medical form. Please fill it out and have your child return it to Mr. Allinder.
