Uniform Information

Text Box: Shades Valley uses uniforms designed just for us by DCI Hall of Fame designer Michael Cesario.
Students need to purchase BLACK SOCKS, a pair each of black and white gloves and band shoes. We will have a vendor come to the school and fit students for a marching shoe. Students will be issued an under the uniform shirt included in their assessment fees.
For a complete price list of band shoes and other accessories from DeMoulin click HERE.
The DeMoulin representative will be in the band room Monday, August 1st at 1:30. If you want to order bands shoes and other accessories, make sure to send money or the credit card payment form.
DeMoulin will accept credit card payments, please fill out this form and send it with your band member. To find the form click HERE.
Volunteers needed! We are in constant need of anyone who has sewing ability or who can just do a few loads of uniforms after a performance. If you can sew or can help with washing the uniforms please see Marsha Borden at the next Booster Meeting.

Important Reminders
Show shirts and bibbers should be clean. (Wash bibbers in cool water with non-bleach detergent, dry on low heat. They should not need pressing, but use a cool iron and pressing cloth if needed — no hot irons please (they melt the uniforms.) DO NOT DRY CLEAN! Click here for complete fact sheet on caring for your uniform.
Shoes should be wiped clean.
Gloves should be clean, without stains (white) and not faded (black.) For competitions, it is recommended that students wear new gloves.
Girls may wear stud type earrings only.
Long hair must be worn up under the hat.
After the event, students check in jacket and gauntlets before leaving campus.
All students should have a garment bag to carry the uniform on trips. The bag should have the student’s name on it. This will help keep all items together, prevent mix-ups, and keep uniform neat and clean.
